you know what??? i hate the giver. i hate it i hate it i hate it. in any other circumstance, i would probably like that book alot, but i am being forced to write a reprort on it. and i DON'T like writing reports. it SUCKS. [did i mention i hate the giver?] i don't even get how lois lowry could even think that depriving people of memories, and color and LOVE could ever become a utopia. because the people are just CLUELESS, yes cluelss. and they freakin kill people!! by euthanizing them!!! because they don't know its wrong.
why did i take honors english!?!!?!?
and don't even get me started on AND THEN THERE WERE NONE BY AGATHA KRISTY
who would name their kid agatha anyway!?!?!!?!!!?!?!?!!?

i liked the giver. i had to read it for school, but i didn't have to write a report on it. how they lived and everything really stunk, but they don't know that. there's nothing for them to compare it to. it kinda makes me wonder how long it took to make it so that everyone is color blind and nobody's really special in any way. and who's stupid idea was it in the first place?
another weird thing is i didn't realize that no colors were mentioned until he started seeing them. and then i thought "oh. it hasn't said a single thing about what color anything was until just now!"
isn't it funny how much people don't notice until it's pointed out to them?
I love that book... and i had to do a project loosely based on one aspect of the book. by the way, and you don't have to answer this if you don't want to, but what grade are you in? because i had to read this in 6th grade...
im one year younger than you and clueless llama.. but where i live is more behind on their schooling than where i used to live. i would rather go to school in the place you do.
and i don't necessarily hate the book, i might actually like it if i didnt have to write a report on it.
yeah, i know what you mean... I would have liked To Kill a Mockingbird a lot more if I hadn't had to do "higher level thinking questions" on it for every. single. chapter.
